Our final student of the day is Emari Scurlock. She is a sophmore at Jesse Bethel High School in Vallejo, California. Emari is active in basketball and soccer. This young lady also participates in the Black Student Union. She is very active in the Adkins program, demonstrating leadership, even as one of our underclassman. She also volunteers hours at Adventures Day Camp. In this program she mentors younger children. She served in a mentorship program under Judge Monica Wiley in San Francisco.
A quality that stands out, is her sense of humor and committment. It is very rare to see her not smiling. She has decided to be a focused person who is serious about what she does.
