Our next student of the day is Alexandria Lewis. This young lady is a senior attending Berkeley High School in Berkeley, California. She is active in film, having recorded several projects on the campus. Her current project is a documentary on her 94 year old grandmother. Alexandria also participates in African Dancing on her campus. She described the style of dance and her African name with words I can not pronounce much less spell. Although she has acceptance letters from several colleges, she has not decided where she will attend. She is looking at schools in Atlanta, but is undecided on her major. Even though she participates in film, she does not have an interest in making this her main profession. She states that this is just a hobby.
In my conversations with her a lot of information was shared which really gave me a deeper respect for her. She has come a long way and still has more to go. I am looking foward to seeing her first documentary.
