After touring the colleges we dined at a local well known blues restaurant in Nashville - BB Kings. The food was great!!
Here is our first student of the day. I have known this young man for approximately three years. His name is Justin Weatherford. He is a junior attending Vallejo High School in Vallejo, California.
Justin has participated in basketball, football, leadership, and track. He has a 3.0 GPA and is a first year Adkins Scholar. I remember this young man knocking on my office door when I worked at Vallejo High School. He would come to my office early in the morning around 6:45-7:00 am asking for help on school projects. This young man is serious about his education and future. A quality that stands out, is his well mannered and respectful nature. This is a rare young man. He plans to attend Cal State LA or TSU, and major in engineering.
The students had an opportunity to make their own hamburgers at the restaurant. Look at the hamburger this young man made. Everything he does is big.
